The hotel is located in Lixouri of Kefalonia, on the edge of the town and right in front of the sea, since there is no road between the building and the sea, where the hotel guests can swim. The building consists of a basement, a ground floor elevated 1.8 meters above the ground, a first floor, a second floor and a roof. The area of each floor is approximately 410 square metres.
The ground floor, the first floor and the second floor are the main areas of the hotel.
In the basement there is a breakfast kitchen, central engine room, fire extinguishing and central air conditioning systems, lift engine room, communal men's/women's w.c., storage and laundry facilities and an additional open plan area of approximately 300 sqm. On the ground floor are developed the reception areas the breakfast room, bar, office and rooms. On the floors there are rooms, linen rooms and storage areas and in the attic there are linen rooms and storage areas.
The hotel has 35 rooms and two lifts. The building consists of a reinforced concrete load-bearing structure with a general cavity foundation of sufficient thickness (radiere) with inverted
and monoblock walls throughout the height of the building for maximum seismic resistance. The walls are made of reinforced concrete masonry with a lime cement mortar coating. The floors are covered with marble and ceramic tiles. Also, the building has a lightning cage for lightning protection. . The construction work was completed in August 1985 and in 2014 a radical renovation was carried out.
