Karavados is a beautiful village of about 430 inhabitants. It is located in the province of Livatho (municipality of the island until 2010) of the municipality of Kefalonia, in the south of the island. Karavados is considered the "captain's village" of Kefalonia, as many of its inhabitants are involved with the sea, either as fishermen or sailors, a fact that has been happening "since always".
